A visit to PR...

Kloe's individual cake made from the scraps of the "big purse".

Kloe and I went home to Oregon for two weeks to celebrate some birthdays. On April 22, we celebrated Hannah's (13), Grammy's (48), and our friend Ayden's (1) birthdays. We also celebrated Kloe's (2) a little early, since we would be in Idaho on her actual birthday. I attempted to make the purse cake that I had seen on familyfun.com, but because of the hot weather, the frosting melted and turned into a large blob at the base of the cake. Nonetheless, I had a good time making it and it looked good for a few minutes. Kloe got a couple more babies, one named Mirial Olga (it came with a birth certificate) and another named Molly. She was thrilled!

When we weren't celebrating birthdays, we were at some sort of sporting event for Tanner or Hannah. Although it was exhausting chasing Kloe around, we managed to enjoy ourselves. They're both so athletic and talented. Go Rockets!

Kloe and Payton at the track meet.

Tanner throwing the javelin. He won the meet with a throw of 154 ft.
Last, but not least, we got to see my dad's 1/2 acre plot for his upcoming garden as well as his current obsession with making rockets and shooting them off into local fields. Very fascinating.

We celebrated Kloe's birthday in Rexburg with Jesse's sister Sylvia and her four kids, as well as Ryan and Amber. Instead of a cake this time, we had dirt 'n' worms...one of my favorite, and appropriate for a spring birthday. (not to mention Kloe loves "wormer squirmers" ever since we bought some to take fishing a month ago.)

Cooking goods from Sylvia and fam.
PJs from mom and dad.
She also got some makeup and a sleeping bag for slumber parties in the living room when Dad's gone to drill.
